The open water swim training sessions are an ideal opportunity to touch up on those all important tri specific skills. Not only will you be coached by some of the UK’s top triathlon swimming coach’s, you will also get the chance to get top tips from The London Triathlon team and get the chance to swim in packs in an open water environment, giving you excellent experience three weeks before your big race!
The venue is easily accessible via the Central line underground stations Barkingside or Fairlop, and there is ample parking for all competitors.
“This session is a MUST for anyone entering a triathlon for the first time. You learn how to embrace the open water rather than feel threatened by it. Thank you for that!”
(Mandy-Jane Herring)
“All in all an enjoyable 1.5hrs which was challenging, informative, relaxed and overall great practice to prepare for London Tri in Aug - many thanks.”
(Matthew Alys)
Areas focused on will include:
  • Intro from an expert - confidence building
  • Correct wetsuit fitting plus how to put it on and take it off!
  • Start/finish procedure - starting in a group/ exiting the water
  • Techniques for long distance swimming
  • Group swimming
  • Skill development - drafting/sighting
Our official retailer and  tri and run  will also be present at the events for all your triathlon equipment needs.
The feedback we receive from these events is focused around the increased confidence competitors feel. People arrive believing the swim to be the most daunting leg of the triathlon, and leave fully reassured of their open water swimming ability.
